The Opened Door Pilates Studio ("the Studio," "we," "us") operates this website and its class booking system. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we handle it.
Information we collect
- Account information: when you create a client account we collect your name, email address, cell phone number, date of birth, and — only if you choose to provide one — a profile photo taken with your camera or uploaded from your device.
- Liability waiver: your typed signature, the waiver version, and the date and time you signed.
- Bookings and packages: the classes you book, cancel, and attend, and the packages you purchase.
- Payment information: if you pay by card, your card details are transmitted directly to our payment processor (ProCharge, a service of Electronic Payments, Inc.) over an encrypted connection. We never store your card number. We keep only the amount, date, and a transaction reference. If you choose "pay at the studio," no card information is collected online.
- Contact messages: anything you send through the contact form.
How we use your information
- To operate your account, packages, bookings, and check-ins.
- To send transactional emails: booking confirmations, receipts, cancellation notices, and password resets. We do not send marketing email without your consent.
- Your profile photo is used only to help our instructors recognize you at check-in. It is never published or used in marketing without your separate consent.
- To respond to messages you send us.
Cookies and sessions
We use essential cookies only: a session cookie that keeps you logged in to your account. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. It is shared only with the service providers required to run the site — our hosting provider and, for card payments, ProCharge — and when the law requires it.
Your choices
You can update your name, phone, photo, and password from your account page anytime, including removing your photo entirely. To delete your account or request a copy of your data, contact us through the contact page and we'll take care of it.
Children
Accounts are for adults and teens 13 and older; participants under 18 require a parent or guardian to sign the liability waiver.
Changes
We'll post any changes to this policy on this page with an updated effective date.
